My motivation for my project “Inheritance”

This project is a very personal story for me. It’s a story that began as an exploration of a relationship crisis which I experienced before the war and the many issues around it. For example, what is the reason for this crisis? What do we feel at this moment? What stages do we go through before we overcome this crisis, or understand that this is really the end? Why do we even hang on to relationships when we feel we are no longer happy?
I also thought a lot about the possibilities that a young family has today. I thought about the unaffordability of own housing for a modern young family and about the sacrifices we are sometimes ready to make for it (credit, rent, living in not the best conditions). However, then the war began… All these problems did not disappear anywhere. My relationship was in a bigger crisis. But to them was added a sense of danger, fear for one’s own life and for the lives of loved ones. The disaster we felt suddenly became a reality.

War gives answers to all questions. However, it takes time to talk about war. At this moment, we can refer to it veiled. Ask questions, seek answers. Try to understand the similarity of feelings. Talk about certain experience. And the main thing is to look for opportunities to convey all this with universal cinematographic instruments. For example, through the story of a couple who should be happy, but instead of happiness, the world and their lives are in danger.
