My motivation for my project “Gertruda“
The first time I got to the Heroiv Truda metro station, I felt inspired and powerless. The joy of being a documentary filmmaker with a camera in an unusual city under tragic circumstances overcame the despair caused by my inability to help all these people. This choice between documenting events and taking action still troubles me, but the choice seems to be obvious. Being here and now, filming and reflecting makes me embarrassingly happy as a documentary filmmaker and simultaneously feels like the heaviest burden – this is the biggest motivation ever.
How do you plan to use the scholarship?
For apartment rent, transport, food and clothes, purchase of film production equipment and support of my family.
